SUNDAY MORNING MEDITATION (9:00am-11:30am)

Every Sunday Meditation includes Butter Lamp Offerings, chanting the Sadhana of Green Tara, Medicine Buddha and other prayers. However, the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month have additional events.

First Sunday of Every Month: PRAYERS FOR THE EARTH. On the first Sunday of every month, all offerings and prayers are dedicated to healing the Planet Earth. Chanting on these mornings also includes the long practice of Green Tara.

2nd Sunday of Every Month: Butter Lamp Offerings, chanting the sadhana of Green Tara, Medicine Buddha and other prayers.

3rd Sunday of Every Month: SPECIAL FIRE PUJA. On the third Sunday of every month, a large Fire Puja called Gelek Trengpung in Tibetan, will be done along with the other chanting. Donations may be made towards the offerings of food and drink.

Last Sunday of Every Month: Butter Lamp Offerings, chanting the sadhana of Green Tara, Medicine Buddha and other prayers.

TUESDAY FOR BEGINNERS (7:30pm-9:00pm)

Lama Karma Chotso teaches Beginning Buddhism:

Meditation techniques are taught for calming the mind. Time for practice is included in each class. Teachings include the Four Thoughts that Turn the Mind Toward Dharma, contemplations so necessary that they begin every traditional 3-year retreat. Beginners will use these Four Thoughts as a foundation for all future practice. Other subjects taught: the Extraordinary Preliminary Practices, generating Bodhicitta, the Mind of Compassion and Tong Len.

8:00pm-9:00pm Chanting Gonkar (White Mahakala) and Chadrukpa (Black Mahakala) [*Attendance restricted to those who have instruction, etc.]
